The residence
Nimbus Lakehouse stands on the quiet western shore of Lake Como, where the mountains drop straight into the water. Dark basalt walls and slate-blue steel frames hold huge panes of glass.
A glass boathouse and a wooden dock sit right in front of the house. On calm mornings, the lake is so still that the house appears twice.
The living spaces are warm and low, with deep sofas and wool rugs. Every window faces the water and the peaks beyond.
